Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Names 2017 Chrysler Pacifica a Top Safety Pick+

Ever since its initial debut, the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has been earning recognitions from all sides of the auto industry for its innovation, technology, and style. A 2016 Brand Image Award winner, Pacifica's latest accolade comes in the form of a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Obtaining a Top Safety Pick award is certainly an impressive feat, but Pacifica went a step further in earning the IIHS's coveted "plus" rating. In order to qualify, vehicles must pass all five crash assessments with the highest score of good. Additionally, vehicles must offer an available front crash prevention system that earns a score of Advanced or Superior. Pacifica earned the latter.

“Having sold more than 14 million minivans since inventing the segment in 1983, we know what’s important to minivan buyers,” says Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands – FCA North America. “The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the sum of all the knowledge we’ve accumulated about minivans and the people who are proud to own them. Among the things we know – safety is one of the most important purchase reasons and achieving the Top Safety Pick+ rating helps to establish Pacifica as the segment leader.”
